how does black win more games of the Exchange?
impossible!
and it proves that i am going to make it my goal to piss off the black player at all costs!
Though I am tempted to offer a draw to all those who play it as a bit of pettiness but I'm worried I might lose half a point of a won game.

yes it bloody well does!
symmetry with white to move?
that is the same basic advantage that white has starting out in the game before move one!
Fine:"The exchange variation is rarely adopted if White hopes to secure an advantage.... The positions are perfectly symmetrical and all White can rely on is his extra move. Note too that Black's QB is no longer a problem and there is no superior White pawn in the center... Straight development equalizes."
From the two books I cited earlier.

I've challenged rubberchicken to a game where I'm Black by the way. I'll link it here if he accepts (but no commenting until after obviously).

It's even. I don't mind playing against it as black at all. Against a weak player I would just wait for them to screw up, which they will. Otherwise it should draw.
i was referring more to Gm level and master level play where the tempo actually matters...
and i have never actually gone through this opening in practice...
just in study...
so i don't know what my fourth move is just yet...
