Thats the point - in these both games I got him in opening, despite his preparation.

I wont say that Latvian gambit is so sound as Sicilian for example, but this opening is strongly underrated.

I have a pristine copy of Kosten's book in front of me now. £6 from paperbacks_plus via amazon.
Will definately try this in a few games here.
If these go well I think I may also try the Latvian OTB at my club & maybe post some games here, providing they aren't embarrassments!

I actually played 25. Nxe2 and since I got no response from Korch, I resigned the game which was obviously lost.

After 25.Nxe2 I would proceed 25....dxe2 and white is really lost.

If you're talking about !~TONY~! (User 9895), that's not Tony Kosten.
