You're a pretty good player KK, but not as good as you'd like people to believe you are. Pretending to understand those short Slav draws fools no-one.

I hope this quick loss doesn't result in Gelfand losing his nerve. I don't think he will - I suspect he is made of strong stuff and that he realises that he is unlikely to get a second chance to win the World Championship. I'm really looking forward to the next game.

I`m not surprised by your inability to see Gruenfeld games, like your inability to understand that it`s logical to play more cautious in match with such a high stake. Posting pointless links won`t make you more convincing.

Some people cannot understand that what they like some other may dislike. Some people comment more about other comments than about the match itself or about the chess players or the chess games that they play.
I just hope that Anand realized that he should play more messy games. Kings in the middle of the board, opposite castles, this is what I want from them.

And both of you have miscalculated - you won`t make me silent.

on the las chessbase article about WCC:
"We would strongly advocate replaying the HD video stream that is provided by the organisers (below) and fast forward to the position after White's 14th move – that's around 16:41:00 into the stream, and especially from 16:48:00 onwards. Very entertaining – do not miss it!"
Both GM commentators: Leko and Ian Nepomia...missed Anand's Qf2...and Gelfand confirms missing this move in press conference.

Originally posted by vipiuI understand what you mean. For the record, I wasn't referring to the usage of English in general. I was referring to what that particular search brought up (1st result is one current redhotpawn player and next set are all a former redhotpawn player.). Please take no offense. I can only speak English (somewhat) and Spanish (considerably less), and I have a great respect for people that are fluent in more than just one language.

Originally posted by vipiuThat I found amusing. Weak players like me were looking to trap the queen(why else allow the rook to fall) but strong grandmasters were looking for counterplay. Chess is such a strange game:-)
