I reached my peak rating here, and stayed there under a minute. Two games were rapidly reaching their conclusion, and my opponent resigned first. I rose, then fell with a net change of +1.

How many sites do you still play at?

You should just focus on one. I've played you and I know you are better then that.

Time to break 1800 now 🙂

Mostly here and ChessWorld--by far the two best. But I have about half-dozen games going elsewhere. I'm keeping my load down to 25 or so (except that a tournament I entered over one year ago will add ~20 when round 2 begins, likely this weekend).

I'm closing in on 1800, and my OTB (the important rating) is at a peak currently, and the only finished but not yet rated games, were wins, including this one from last night.

Sounds like way to many games. CC game and then OTB games, and your usual blitz sessions 😛

Very lively game and nice game. Didn't seem like black knew what he was doing, especially in the opening.

Blitz is a drug, as is correspondence. One heals, the other harms. OTB is the real thing (but I can't get enough of it, so I use the drugs).

All the more reason to come here, to Edmonton.

You will be sick off all the OTB you can play here.

4 games Mon and 4 games Sat. 30 min each side.

Thursday 120 min each, 1 game.

9 for the week. Plus 5 games weekend tourney mostly every month.

I remember you! Weren't you the one who paid you entry fee for the sectional and never showed up.

You just set a new record in Edm, for being the first person to do that!

Argg, gonna eat you alive 🙂

We just had the Univ. team for that one tourney, last year 05-06. We never got an invitation this year for it, for some reason. Not sure what happened or if it still exists.

I haven't played since end of Feb, 06.

Your opponent made some very poor strategic moves early on, especially 5...Na6??, and 7...f5?? creating a very weak e5 square, the use of which was a key theme of the game (along with completely taking his light bishop out of the game), which you did very well to exploit.

Your play appeared more than 160 odd points above your opponents.

Alas, he is still at +2 in our series, although I've won 3 of 4 since Y2K.
