Thank you (and also to RECUVIC), I was confused and forgot Black was already material up previously because of Nxe5. Thanks. 😀

Game 3 has started. Kamsky has played the Gruenfeld again. Like many people, I feel the Gruenfeld just isn't quite good enough to be played at the top level.

What's 10. ... Qxc7 all about? Black just seems to be a pawn down for nothing.

Not for nothing, he got a nice lead in development for it, and can win it back (I think he just has). I think it's a nice move and should lead to an interesting endgame.

Did you count the pieces? As of White's move 17, Black is a piece down! I'm sure Kamsky will pick up the knight on b6, but what mischief will Topov get up to in the meantime?

Hmm, I think Kamsky had more chance in the Bxd3 line, but here he has slightly worse pawn structure but his pieces are more active and potentially when the rooks come of the pawns on both wings would favour his bishop.

He now, after d6, needs to show precision though...

For those who wish to see G.Kamsky win, tomorrowi is his big chance.V.Topalov having won game two which he should have lost failed to convert his minor advantage in game three thanks largely to Kamsky's success in holding a difficult position. Now from only five remaining games ,no more losses and a single win from G.Kamsky will be enough to throw the match wide open to the tie-breaks!--we will see soon enough!😵

Game 4 is under way and Topa goes for the Zaitsev variation, which doesn't have a good name at the moment if I recall correctly, let's see if he has an important novelty here!

Looks like Kamsky might win this game, although I still think Topalov will win in the end, I am glad Kamsky is putting up a fight!

I hope so, but Kamsky is getting into time trouble.

Why did they get 15 minutes added to their clocks?
I thought Kamsky was going to win on time....😞

at move 60, they each get fifteen moves added on, with 30 second increments.

That's stupid.

Kamsky is playing badly. He missed a mate in two, and a piece win.
