Is there a way to view your games offline? E.g. download your in progress games and look at them offline and then submit your move once you are back on line.

If you click on "Game History" about the board then one of the links to the right becomes "Get PGN of this game".

Is there a way to view this graphically offline though - e.g. some application that can read in this data easily without having to type it in?

There is a device called a MonRoi (or it is made by MonRoi, but everyone calls the device itself a MonRoi like people call tissues Kleenex even though it is actually the company called Kleenex and not the tissues, or the same thing with Band-Aids, even though they are really adhesive bandages but everyone calls them Band-Aids because that is the name of the company but I am beginning to digress so I better get back to the subject) which keeps score of your games and you can see it online at----

http://www.monroi.com/products_personal.html

I guess its official name is Personal Chess Manager by MonRoi.

(I still write my moves down in pencil and paper so I can go away from my computer and look at the positions on a real board)

You can play through, analyze, and annotate PGN games in SCID. And, unlike some other programs and devices, it's free.

There's a thread about SCID here: Thread 67193

The easiest is to open multiple tabs in Firefox or the equivalent in IE. Look and make your move before going on line again and sending.
