Well, I walk up to them and say something cheesy like 'Are you tired?'.

Then they say 'Why?'.

And I say ' Cos you have been running through my mind all night'.

An opening move that unfortunately is strategically good, but tactically unsound!!!

h400 I think is the best opinning move! And if you order now, you'll get a free collection of Pro 4.673 sharp knives, and tacticall forks 😀

Now, seriously, I think for begginer e4 works just fine. Maybe you should first learn some opening principles before memorizing opening lines, at your level this is not the most important chess theme I think.

Yep, this one is particulary fantastic. But only for top player-levels...

1. e4 is best, unless black plays 1...c5; then 1.d4 is best.

According to New in Chess. See http://www.newinchess.com/Yearbook/Default.aspx?PageID=226

Of course, they are wrong. 1...e6 is superior to 1...c5. See Clan 24492

Amazing luck. In the few moves before move 27 I had built up to 27. Nd6 which I felt was a great outpost for the knight. When he played 26. ... Qg6 I suddenly realised I was exposed and he had the most horrible Knight forks. For about a dozen moves thereafter it was his game to win. The defense wasn't too difficult to find as there were no/ few options and I think he may have missed the win and just beaten himself.

Edit: No one wants to start a Grob clan!
