^ thats probably my best result here, But on FICS I have managed a draw against a 2200 player.

^^ well, It was a complete theretical draw (wingpawn) but the s*** made me play on 200+ moves, which caused me to lose on time (aparently, on that server you have to "claim" 50 moves, its not automatic)....oh well

maybe i'm missing something but the game just seemed to be one of targeting certain squares to see who can get the most attacks on them. is this what you learnt?

My "best" opponent was former World Championship contender David Bronstein. There was a time in the middle game where I thought I might have him, but I lost the game of course.

My bests have been correspondence games against: Samuel Reshevsky, two games against a former US Champ competitor from the 50's and (at the time) the number 3 ranked US correspondence player. Got a win and a draw which makes me happy. Too bad I can't play at that level OTB!
