another wild sac from topalov!

15. fxg3 Rxe3 16. Rf3 Bd4 17. Rxe3 Bxe3+ 18.Kh8 Ne5 19.Nf1 Bh6

but this one just can't work, can it? it'll take time for the other pieces to get into play, and I just can't see how it could work. but then again, it's topalov. 🙂

wow, Eljanov shows beautiful technique to trade down. it's just over now.

look at this, white can force to trade down from this position:

36. Rxc4 Bxb2 37. Nd4 Ba1 38. Ra4 Bc3 39. Qe3 Bb2 40. Rb4 Ba1
41. Rb1 Bxd4 42. Qxd4+

I like Carlsen. He's only slightly older than me, hooray! 😀 He will strike a blow for the youth of today everywhere!

In 7 years, he's gone from 2000 strength to one of the very best players in the world. That's amazing...and he is only 17.

Oh yep. And I would also say 2000 at ten is rivalled by few (eg. Kasparov, Polgar).

I am not surprised to see Kramnik in the middle of the pack...he was never very good in tournament play.

Polgar is already out of the race. There's just one round left, and she's 2 points behind Aronian and Carlsen. Radjabov is playing Carlsen tomorrow, so he isn't allowed to win. 😉
