Won games

How many games are you currently playing where it seems quite obvious to you that you've won, but have an opponent who doesn't seem to agree?

For me it's 5, maybe 6 if I'm feeling cocky - I love having these, because they tend to pile up and make you feel like you're dominating your opponents a little more than you may actually be.

EDIT: Just found another, make that 6, maybe 7.

I used to have lots of these games, now I have started playing 1500+ players and I am feeling a little out of my depth 🙂

It is fun to have the games when you are just stomping all over the board without much thought but sooner or later you have to meet stronger players as you get better...

short story, theres always a bigger fish 🙂

I notice you got to 1700 and now you are playing 12-1400,s this may explain why you have these games too!

Yeah, my opponents are pretty weak who I'm beating right now. Of the games I mentioned, only one is against an opponent at 1500+. Of course, I have a couple of games against very strong opposition right now that I feel pretty good about, but those are far from over and things are really tough against anybody at that 1700+ level.

It's funny right now, because of my timeout streak my opponents are rated either:

1200-1500 or 1800+, with a huge gap in between for some reason...

I've had quite a few, but when I get arrogant, I inevitably lose a few of them.

Yea it goes like that, we all get to a point where we start getting thrashed again, in another month I will probably be back playing in the 1300 tournaments due to my thrashings at 1500 🙂
It is nice though to play better players, you do learn more even though it may not be as much fun.
I dont think I have more than three opponents under 1450 at the moment and I am beginning to regret my rating rising like it did.
I am holding my own in some and have even won a couple against 1500,s but right now I would like to be playing weaker opponents again to ease the stress on the old noggin 🙂

Two. One of them definitely, in the other one, I'm almost positive he can't save his rook.

All of my games are currently won, and yet they drag on and on.
