Have you ever...and I'm sure many of you have...had a game where you achieve checkmate so early that you are incredulous? You look it over again and again before committing, but there it is...how sweet.
Does this happen to you? How? Why? Send me your games.

Not yet, still waiting. Maybe if I were to give a beginner a tip and tell him, "As white, f3 then g4 is a pretty good opening."

At a tournament I played 1 month ago they called this the 'nicklemate'. Supposedly the white player would place a nickle underneath both kings at the start of the game. The game would commence; white would play 2. Qh5, then lift his king and take the nickle, and tell his opponent "hey look, theres money under my king, maybe theres some under yours as well." Then the black player would lift his own king; and white claims that since the black player touched his king, he must move it, make the only legal move Ke7 and white wins Qxe5#.
