OK. I am of vegetable origin.
1. Are you edible by humans in your natural form? Possibly without harm in small enough bits, but it would be quite unusual.
2, 3, Not made of wood or cotton.

The Amber Room or Yantarnaya Komnata (Russian: Янтарная комната, German: Bernsteinzimmer, Polish: Bursztynowa komnata) is a world-famous chamber decorated in amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors, located in the Catherine Palace of Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg. Constructed in the 18th century in Prussia, the original Amber Room was dismantled and eventually disappeared during World War II. Before its loss, it was considered an "Eighth Wonder of the World". A reconstruction was installed in the Catherine Palace between 1979 and 2003.

[b]Yes... I’ve wondered about Amber since seeing the reconstruction:
I am working at hand polishing Indonesian black amber. It is the only black amber known. My guess, it is black from volcanic ash. Hand polishing is a slow process.
