    Here is a new puzzle.
Look at the header picture on my profile page.
Identify what it is and where in the world it is located.

    No prizes, sorry!

Well done! I didn't think anyone would get it correct that quickly!
Your prize is that you should put up the next one! 🙂

Maybe this would work better if we do not post the answer here in the forum immediately.
Instead, send your answer to the originator in a private message.
The originator can then post back or reply whether the answer is correct or not without revealing it to everyone else.
Clues could also be provided if needed after some time has elapsed with no correct answer.

    Anyone else?

I've been trying to find a photo which would be ok for this game, but there's over 6000 pictures on the pc all in albums by year and I can't remember when we went!!
I'll keep looking when I have time.

Well I've found the pic but ti's the sizing issue that I haven't got right.
I have to go out now, buti'll leave this for now.
It's me on holiday somewhere and behind me are books and things which I can't get on properly.
    Might try again another day.
It seems to have put the pic on as my avatar as well .
    Ho hum!!

Trying to do this is probably more hassle that it's worth. I had to run my photo through a photo editing software to get it to display correctly, and it's probably something that not everyone does, so maybe not such a good puzzle. Oh well, maybe I'll come up with another way to do it.

    A good idea though.
My picture is , as I said, while we were on holiday and it's obviously chess related.
I have a pic of the outside of the location but it doesn't really show much unless you have been there.
I'll give it a try but if it messes my avatar up again I'll have to change it back.
    Done it!!

    Yes, it worked.
I right-clicked on the header pic and selected 'view background', and it opened larger to show a building, some people and a couple of horse-drawn carriages. But I have no idea where in the world that might be, so will watch and see if anyone else jumps in with an answer. You may need to furnish a clue if nobody knows! 🙂

Venda's profile picture looks like it might be at the Bobby Fischer Center in Iceland. Perhaps the board he is sitting at is one used in his 1972 match against Spassky, or would that be too much to ask for?

No , it's not in Iceland but it is in a chess related location.
If you right click on the picture and select view background image you can see a little more of the outside of the building.
I wouldn't have known it was there without the tourist map but it's very popular with chess hustlers who sit around playing games against the unwary!!
