Like I said, wait till YOU are 80 and see what happens to YOUR island. And it WILL be because humans are WAY to stupid to understand they can't poop in their own back yard, Earth is not infinite in resources and we are using some half of it already.
But there will be a reckoning, one way or the other, humans ruining Earth can only do it so long before it totally backfires and kills off half or more of the Human race and millions of animals as well.

The graph clearly shows China with twice the greenhouse gasses and you just dismiss it as big population but India has the same population but 1/3 the greenhouse gasses.
