Yes, I think that having banded club tourneys would be a good idea.

I think it's okay to have banded tournaments sponsored by clubs as long as they don't cut down
on the number of players interested in banded tournaments for the general population. A user
shouldn't have to be a club member to compete in tournaments.

BTW: The preceding poster belongs to 34 clubs. The OP belongs to 30.

I'm afraid that is the trend though, frequent complaints of too few 'official' banded tournaments has led to a massive increase of club 'whatever you want, we'll create' tournies..of the four prolific club tournament creators I'm a member of, I've received fully 32 invites since the 13th instant...2.6 per day and they fill immediately. This may well have a knock on effect with member participation of the sites offerings..slower take up rates etc...

Some people actually left my club because of that.

I'll join any tournament that doesn't have a theme. I learn a lot, even playing 1800 players (in those games my goal is not to die before 20 moves...). Must come from being a Cubs fan -- the fun is in the playing of the game, and the low expectation of winning is a given. 😉

Just give me a battle!! I don't care what you decide, who's next?

Timeout periods are measured in days.. one day, three days, etc. Zero days timeout means each player
has no time to move without going into a timebank, which you do not specify. How long is the timebank?
O day time bank
