2 non-subscribing members per clan ?

..this may be a way to allow a larger pool of players to join clans and
show non-subscribers that subscribing is a good idea...the 2 non-
subscribing members of the clans would only be allowed to play for
10 clan games and then they would be put of of the clan by the
site automatically ( allowing them to finish any ongoing games of
course )...i beleive some would then subscribe to stay in the clan
and it would give present clans a recruitment pool out of the new
players who just come on to the site..

Not a bad idea but maybe difficult to administer.

There are at least another 5 who may be interested in joining the clan I organise.

Clans are part of a subscriber's privalages, and should only be for the subscriber. I paid so i could use the clan system, join tournaments, etc... why should a non-subscriber get these for free? even if it is only a trail. Any non-subscriber can see how the clan system works by simply browsing around the site.

it is not the idea that someone can see how the clan system works
but rather to allow a trial period of play an then some non-subsribers
will subscribe after experiencing the fun of team play and more use
of the site...increased subscription is good for the site and a pool of
trial players would increase the pool of diversity of available players..
there are alot of clans asking for more players..i think my trial 2
non-subscribing clan member proposal is both good economically
for the site and good for clan play...

I like a limited trial period, but there are some problems.

Mainly, a lot of non-subscribed players just try out the site for a couple of days, and then get bored with it. If this happened after they had joined a clan, entire challenges could be completely messed up. There are ways around this problem, but I'm not sure how important it is.
