Team chess, four players.
Each team has a player with white and one with black.
When a white player takes a piece his team mate playing black on his
next move can either play what he has on the board or place the piece
his team mate just won any where he wants with few exceptions.
Exceptions pawns cannot be put on the 8th rank to be queened right
away; however, they can be placed on the 7th. All other chess rules
apply, must block check and so on.
This would be fun here too, we play it OTB in 4 min blitz, makes for
crazy games during lunch at work.

what? Timed over the board chess is different than what we do here
it doesn't mean it isn't as fun.

Well, it would certainly introduce a new dimension to the stall. I can just see someone waiting until it's 3am in their opponent's (or opponent's partner's) time-zone to make a move during a stall situation. But then there's the conditional move function to counteract that effect. Of course that would need to be modified to take into account "If I have a knight in hand on the move" etc.
In the end, I think the global nature of the site will have an adverse affect on a game which depends so much on relative clock position of diagonal opponents and interaction between partners. But I really can't say it'd be impossible and I'd actually love to give it a try if Russ were to implement it.
Maybe it'd be better/easier to have this added to the blitz site first.
