Clan leaders can create tournaments with passwords and invite any subscriber to join.

Club leaders can only create tournaments without passwords, yet they may have much bigger groups and want to set up banded tournaments to give everyone a fair go.

Why can't club leaders have access to the facility provided in http://www.redhotpawn.com/tournament/createprivate.php ???

Are there no club leaders out there wanting to set up passworded private tournaments to enable banding in their club tourneys?

So what you're suggesting is that club leaders have the ability to set limits on ratings for club tournaments? So what I'm rec'ing here is the ability for club leaders to create banded club tournaments in their clubs, not in the private tournament area, so that the banded tournaments will count as club tournaments. We have banded clubs, but I've also seen leaders of non-banded clubs attempt to have banded tournaments but when any club member can join the tourney, the "banded" part of it turns out to be a joke.

    Banded tournaments in clubs!

I am a club leader and I had sent a feedback regarding the matter. Russ mentioned that he is working on it and should come out pretty soon. I hope.

Why not just let the club leaders directly set a rating band?

I think both will be a good tool for organize his club:

    1. to set rating-limits generalli in games
    2. to invite members with a key.

The first one to give tournaments to the lower rated.

The second to create tournaments with selected members.

    I recommend 😉
