Create Your Own Tournaments

Can we have a facility to create our own tournaments. I asked Russ in June if he could create a private tournament for me and some people. He said that it will be possible for users to do this themselves "Soon".

Please can we have this?

I like the idea also, but I am unclear as to how the private tournament system would work - would it be restricted to clans or could it be by invitation only for those subscribers who do not wish to be in a clan?

Is 'Closed tournaments' (instead of the ordinary 'Open Tournaments'😉 a better way to express what I wanted?

I mean private tournaments where you create a tournament and invite a select group of people to play in it, perhaps everything has already been organised through the forums.

I can imagine that this would usually be organised within a clan (The tournament that I requested), but it shouldn't be restricted to that.

I would also appreciate to make my own tournement, especially fast mini torneys with a limited number of people round robin.

I would like the ability to create private tournaments. If nothing else then at least limited to clans who wish to hold interclan tourneys. Maybe then we'll be able to get some unbanded tourneys.

I've PMed Russ and asked him to reply here, I hope we get a response soon.

Is this just because you aren't good enough to have any tournament victories???

I am behind on the tournament code in general (the round progression before round completion is still sat unreleased in a near finished state.)

It is going to happen, but as always, it is just a matter of time.

Unfortunately, I can't commit to a time for getting this in place, because I never hit my self imposed deadlines anyway...😳
