Either way, I offered an explanation to you only since you seemed confused why your post was removed, but you've turned it into some kind of a personal battle with me.

Serves me right for even trying to help you out.

I'm not only complaining about the removed thread, there are bulletin points in the Help section if you wanted to know what I'm complaining about. Even if I was on about the removed thread this is a perfect example Thread 124862 of double standards.

Russ has indicated in the past that he prefers not to see wholesale bumping of old threads, rather that a link to the old thread be provided. Possibly something to do with the actual site functioning.

Please note that the title of this thread is worded "a sensible debate". Have a nice day.
I'm not a betting man but if i would bet it was you who removed the thread and then sent the p.m the contents I'm complaining about. Perhaps you can be kind enough to show me how I "bumped threads wholesale" and also this post by Russ on "wholesale bumping of threads" (mind you I didn't bump threads wholesale but I'm interested).

If you are interested in "sensible debate", and have examples from Russ and the help guidelines please come share them with us. Thread 124573

GOTCHA!!!! I luv this.

Some get through, some don't. Also, yours was "Let's talk about ***"

That could inspire users to replace *** with other words... as you will probably soon see considering the number of jokers here at RHP.

You think I've never had a post or thread removed? You'd be wrong.

Get over it, it happens all the time. Don't let it get you down or ruin your fun.

Bring something to the table, be around for a while. Once users here at RHP see you're a frequent poster you will most likely have a better chance of creating a nonsense thread... but a new poster bringing nothing to the forum is more likely to have a thread alerted as spam and removed.

Don't treat it like the end of the world, move on.

Well do share the things that you were attributing to Russ, and if possible do so pointing out a specific post or posts. It was nice of you to walk into this nice civilized debate and share some thoughts, don't leave us hanging there in suspense.

Its not the "end of the world", I'm actually "winning" you know. Its good of you to chicken out while you can still crash land without breaking anything. Even Kewpie's introduction of a new tangent has backfired.

If you can assist Kewpie as he does "his homework", please do. 😵

What are you winning? What's the prize? Who's in second? Will they get a trophy?

I agree with this 100% that hits the nail on the head. Its what I've been saying all along, personal opinion and interpretation of the rules so that user A is modded differently from User B when the scenario is the same.

Furthermore if a user is seen as a black sheep, he can expect to be chided like a small child and sent text that is not even on the forum guidelines. Does this ring a bell?

Once again, friends, let's turn to our friend, MR. OXFORD:

Mr. Oxford, defines sensible as: "1.wise and prudent; having or showing common sense. 2 practical and functional rather than decorative."

http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/debate

Mr. Oxford, defines debate as: "1. a formal discussion in a public meeting or legislature, in which opposing arguments are presented. 2. an argument."

http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/debate

This discussion is NOT being hijacked by one incident. We are having a SENSIBLE DEBATE about forum moderation, so far all of the proceedings have been civilized and drawing out FACTS where necessary. It is a sensible debate not an argument about one incident.

training wheels for new mods.

may i suggest that when new mods are appointed, they are not given the power to make modding decisions immediately; rather they are to refer decisions to a more experienced mod, and only when they achieve a certain percentage of match-ups between their own opinions and those of the more experienced mod are they to be given full mod powers.

the more experienced mods could give feedback about their (the new mods'😉 mistakes, helping them get up to speed quickly. i realise this is even more work for the new mods, but in the medium term they'll still achieve a lower workload, once the probationary period is over.

You're right, that could have been the end of the world.

It's completely absurd if Kewpie is a mod. Didn't she already tried it once and was a miserable failure? It boogles the mind as to why would anyone ever consider her again for moderation. Was it because people felt sorry for her? Awful, awful reason.

What are you talking about?

Kewpie never was a mod, Kewpie is not a mod. Are you getting info from VR's busted rumor mill?
