Ok shoot me down if this doesn't sound like your cup of tea but how about RHP sets up a "reward system" so that players would be awarded titles for achieving certain objectives.
So e.g 10 wins under 20 moves would give you a "Blizter" title and say 20 consecutive wins against equal or stronger players gives you an "Invincible" title visible on the players profile. Apart from giving players something to work towards it would also have the more serious effect of showing players preferred strategies and tendencies. Or would this eat up too much code? Or do you think it would just be c*ap?
