The King and Queen icons i find confusing as i think there icons are mixed up 😕 if you can please have alook and try and change it.

What King and Queen icons are you talking about?

Do you mean chess pieces in games? They're fine! Just learn which is which. No need to change decades of practice just because you think they're backward.

Can you imagine the mail Russ would get if he unilaterally changed this? I can hear it now: "Hey dumbass! Your Queens have crosses and your Kings have crowns! Are you daft?"

there are lots of different chess sets available - try them out until you find one you are comfortable with.

Have you been playing chess wrong? I'm wondering if there is any other reason a person would want to change the king and queen.

King most always has a cross on the head, does the queen's tiara confuse you?

im finding it easyer now tho as i am only a begginer i trymy best tho.

i have lots to learn as i am only 14 and have years to pratice.

My friend has a wood set, and the king has no cross at all. He is slightly taller.

I hate the set, because it's dark light polished wood vs. light dark polished wood. There are at least 3 pawns in the set that could easily be confused without close study.

When a pawn is traded, I always tell him to trade out a confusing pawn.
