I have given these matters a lot of thought and after 12 beers I have come up with a brilliant solution to our problems. We already have three sites doing the same thing (RedHotPawn, Chess at Work, and Time for Chess): I propose that we make the sites more specialized as follows:
Chess for Kids: This would be available for pretend grandmasters who don't know what a Petroff's Defense is and the forums would be restricted to nothing more controversial than whether chocolate chip is better than vanilla ice cream.
Chess for Perfect: This would be available for people like Sardodos who are too offended to play players who lack their tight ass view of the world. The forums could be moderated by Pradt and Rapalla7: I think mod x was so right in his decision But mod y was equally right in his decision But don't you think mod z was at least as equally right and on and on.
Chess for Adults: This would be for malcontents who think they should be able to play chess, express an occasional opinion, and not be censored or banned. The forums here would be a hellish place where adult human beings wouldn't be moderated, would say what they please and even (shockingly!) be allowed to bicker and argue if that's what floats their boats.
Any comments on my solution?
