Have some Siege boards only available to those @ a certain rating. 900-1300, 1300-1700- 1700-2000+ so not just elite players can hold the boards.
would make things a bit more interesting
will throw you off of it after a couple of wins.

would make things a bit more interesting
the ladder that they will remain at until their play improves or
they have a streak of bad games.

But then one person who joins a board, with an upper rating of 1500, when they first join the site but later becomes a 2000+ player will never be ousted from the board.
only those worthy will reach them, and the 1300 will be fighting against
each other, and those that float upward as the stronger players start
on the bottom and move up the ladder with wins. Another good thing
about ladders is everyone plays, no one is waiting a month just to see
a game start knowing there are 4 more people infront of you to before
you even get a chance to play.

So explain this ladder format. It's confusing me exactly how it would work.
200 people join the ladder, so there are 100 games.
Winners move up the ladder losers move down.
Next round starts, and after awhile you will end up playing
people your own strenght, if your games gets stronger you
will be moving up, if you slack off you will move down.
It is a king on the mountain type of thing.
There are several ways to work a ladder on line to take in the
way we play here. www.itsyourturn.com has a good one, but this
site is much better than that one. The ladders I love, but beyond
that I like this site better.
site.
