I don't think that would be a good feature. Which of the English language versions would it be? Only British, Australian, American, etc., or would it include all of them?
Also, there are too many other languages in use on this site.
If it was multilingual, wouldn't it accept your spelling mistakes as perfectly spelt foreign words (if they exist, which is possible), or offer other correctly spelt foreign words to replace them with?

Would it also want to change intentional spelling mistakes and slang words and phrases?

There is a greasemonkey spell-checker add-on, which you can use yourself if your first language isn't English (or if you're not well enough educated), but I'm not sure which languages it can spell-check.

And there's always Nordlys (or others) to offer advice if she thinks you're worth it.

EDITED out spelling mistakes...

The more recent versions of Firefox have a built in spell-checker.

What do you mean?
In all computer I use, there is always MS Word installed.
This is not the case with FireFox and Ourobourous Greasemonkeys Script.

If I'd try to install FF in every computer I use - then I would make life difficult for me.

The most annoying mistakes are often those a spell-checker wouldn't detect - mixing up "your" and "you're", "it's" and "its", "too" and "to" etc. Those are the types of mistakes that make it hard to understand what the person is trying to say.

And as others have pointed out, people can already get a spell-checker if they want, and forced spell-checking would be a bad idea.

How many computers do you use? Are you a computer stud or something?
