Ah. 😀 Well, it doesn't sound like "Liz" at all. The "y" (which is long in this case) is a sound somewhere between "ee" and the German ü or the French (or Norwegian) u. The "s" is sharp, like in "see". "Nord" sounds approximately like "noor".

I see. So, if I understand correctly the pronunciation is : Noor-lease

.... and the "lease" leans toward the German ü. I think I got it !

Don't worry about, its not like you have to worry about her hearing you and being incited to do bad things because of a mispronunciation.

Ivanhoe, how's it looking? Do you think you'll get your new forum?

It sounds more like 'northless' (except for the 't' sound)...?

I doubt it. The serious discussion in Spirituality consumes a lot of my time, and I have little left over to spend frivolously. And since you perform regularly in Spirituality, I never have to leave there to find comedy, so I'd never visit the proposed forum. As I said before, it would be redundant.

Unless you're proposing a rule banishing comedic content from Spirituality. But then, most theists would have nothing left to post there.

No, not in Norwegian. It probably does in Danish, though.

I've heard better jokes from your humorous mouth, but i guess it's not your day.

The developments on the site are clearly indicating we desperately need such a Forum, a place where these Stand-up comedians really can be themselves.
