It would be nice to be able to have something like "start a new game from here" (set peice) from the history screen. I am not sure whether it would be better to "replay" the moves, or just start from the set position. Maybe if we could paste an "FEN" into the "set piece" game configuration while we are making it possible anyhow 🙂

The reason I think this would make a good feature is like after the game you can go back to where you really screwed up, and start again from there and see if you can make better decisions the next time. I think it would be invaluable as a learning/training type thing, and would maybe satisfy the folks who want to be able to "take back" moves. Since "Set piece games are always unrated." it shouldn't bother the competition too much.

I thought about it before you post this message and yes sometimes it would be nice to do that. I have done it by starting a new game and then "set pieces"

If you use firefox, and have Greasemonkey, you can use two of Ouroboros' scripts to be able to copy the FEN from the Game Page, and paste it into the setpiece screen.

Game Page: http://members.shaw.ca/ouroboros/RHP/game.user.js
Set Piece: http://members.shaw.ca/ouroboros/RHP/setpiece.user.js

You can challenge a user by clicking on his name, and then challenge user.

I will try that in the meantime, but I still think a button to make it easier would be nice 🙂
