When people send you move reminders even though you're on VACATION. That's quality, right there.

Even though the big yellow sign that says "On Vacation" is bright enough for the other players to see, apparantly they somehow DON'T SEE IT.

    You guys rock.

Good post. That is annoying. I think reminders should be abolished altogether.

isnt the reminder sent automatic after the time, no matter vacation or not, just as the opponent can claim win regaurdless. but ive no gripe with the system.

It's just as annoying to me sitting there on my games screen . It's like the little bell in my truck that tells me to put my seat belt on . I press it just to make it go away .

It's equally annoying to have people send me a reminder after three days when the T/O period is 21 days. Frig off!

I actually think it was suggested a while ago in the Site Ideas forum to have an option to turn reminders off. Perhaps it should be brought up again over there?

you can go to "My Settings" "My Site Settings" and untick the first box: no more move reminders.

Doesn't that just mean that you won't have them pop up under your games? I'm assuming that you can still recieve move reminders from opponents...?

This only stops move reminder emails when it's your turn to move.
This does not stop the dumbasses from sending superfluous move reminders to you.

I saw that before but thought it was going to mess with my email notifications for some reason .
