Just like believing in Santa Claus , The Easter Bunny , Zeus , Krishna or Harry Potter.
There is no sun in the sky either. There are only shiny man made lights - candles, light bulbs, little LED lights on cell phones, watch dials that shine in the dark.
That orb in the heavens? That's just another one of those man made shiny lights.
Aren't I so realistic everybody ??
@sonship saidDo you really believe that ? Wow !

Can you prove that assertion ?
@galveston75 saidWhy do I need to ?
Then why have you never once answered my challenges to show the absolute proof of it?
If you said the sun was really a giant snowball , I would not need to prove it is hot .
The science is readily available on the web to anyone who wants to see that evolution is science and valid .
Your willful ignorance is your own responsibility , not mine .
@caissad4 saidThat's completely true. Can be, not must be.

And your choice.
The bottom line is "Do you believe it, or not?" This is why we still have jury trials in the US. Sometimes a person who is charged has no alibi, no proof that they did not do the crime. We are people. We are fallible. And we give the benefit of the doubt. "Do we believe it, or not?" is still the bottom line. Some choose to. Some choose not to. It is our choice. Free will is our saving grace. It must reach beyond the facts, because the facts are scarce. "Do we believe it, or not?" Everyone answers this for themselves. And that is our gift.
