I'm not sure whether it will be an effective deterrent or simply result in more violent attacks, probably a little of both (hopefully more of the former). I am sure that thing will be guesting in my nightmares sometime soon though ... yikes.
Yeah, this thing will be great... until a couple have an arguement, supposedly sort out their differences, then during the deed, it turns out the women is still rather upset and has got one of theses for some revenge.
So if a guy was set up by a woman for this kind of thing, wouldn't that be assault?1 Would we have a society where we would have 2 people claiming against the other; one for rape, and one for assault?!

You are reading meaning into my post which is not there. I simply said that a woman who uses one of these should expect her rapist to hurt her even worse because of it. That is not a moral judgement, but rather advice; use of this device will anger a rapist and the woman should be aware of this fact for her own good.
