Well in this universe we have realized it. We have carefully measured the angles and distances etc and found out that the universe is not flat. This is not something new, Einstein published the theory in 1916, and much of modern science relies on this knowledge.

we need to address the issue of kelly's method of arguing, which is av ...[text shortened]... ally force him to use his safety answer "yeah but a line cannot be both straight and bent"
I line can bend, it can have a slope, it can be any ole thing you want
it to be, but a straight line is one thing, a square is another, a circle
is another, and so on. Not saying one thing cannot be in two states
at once, but what I am saying is that if something has a curve to it, it
isn't straight, if it can be straight in one place and curved in another,
than that is what it is, straight in one place and curved in another.

You haven't actually understood the thing with the 4th spatial dimension, have you?
Or does the bible says anything about it that you have faith in?

You really do have a one track mind don't you?

And in how many tracks does your mind run? 🙂
Please, understand that you cannot reason with no knowledge about the matter you are discussed. When do you realize that a straight line in three dimensions can of course be a circle in four? Argue that and still saying you know what your'e talking about?

    You read this didn't you?

because once you accept an object can be in two states you really only have 1 step to make to accept that a line can be straight in 2D and curbed in 3D.

it all depends on the system of reference. a much simpler example, which you will probably won't accept. is the temperature of let's say water. water might have 1 degrees Celsius, but will have another value on the Fahrenheit scale. it is the same phenomenon, but it is looked at from different systems of reference. that is exactly the case with a line on the surface of a sphere. if you look at it from the 2D perspective it is straight.

oh btw, you are wrong in saying a square is a square. and this i can demonstrate to you with the little geometry i know.

a square is a square in 2D. but what if your system of reference is 1D? your square becomes a line. or nothing at all.

look at it this way. you are in a completely dark room and there is a line cut on the wall which let's you see outside the room. horizontally if you will. now if a sheet of paper with a square drawn on it is placed paralel with that cut in the wall, will you see a square? or just two dots and maybe a line if one of the square sides is directly above the cut? you cannot know it is a square because you cannot see but the one dimension represented by the cut in the wall.
