@kellyjay saidOh the hilarity!
You do not take what the Lord says seriously, this is just a means by which you ignore something and accept others.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI don't make them to anyone else, because of the things he says and why he stated why he says them. I have not once seen you jump on him for such things and he can become very vile in this verbiage. Neither have I seen you correct him for making blanket statements about people he attacks, if you are going to be the forum nanny on good behavior do it for everyone.
Can you stop making posts like this? It's deeply unpleasant and unnecessary. You seem to have it in your head that it's okay to direct such personal comments towards Rajk, comments you wouldn't make to anybody else.
Are you a sociopath? Are you mentally ill? Are you a deceiver? Would it be okay if I threw those at you on a regular basis?
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32).
@bigdogg saidGood works are good works, and the motivation behind them can be good or bad, we are quite capable of doing good works, and evil ones. The point is righteousness, our good works do not make us righteous, still we are to do them as they are what we should be doing, as it has been said here more than a few times none of us are perfect, while being perfect is what is required!
While I agree that it is best if good works come from good motivations, are you sure you're not over-analyzing and over-worrying about this?
For example, let's say a glory-hogging man strokes his own ego by giving a thirsty person water.
So what?
The other person isn't thirsty anymore.
That's certainly better than if no water had been given.
God's righteousness is the scale, not our own, we can judge ourselves by ourselves, and in some cases, we can say even possibly correctly, I'm better than that guy, but It is God who is the final judge. God being good and righteous means He cannot abide evil, He cannot ignore it to any degree, He will not overlook it, and if He did He would cease to be God. He is one, this isn't just Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but also righteousness, goodness, holiness, love, mercy, and all of His other attributes. He will not overlook sin at the expense of His goodness and righteousness.
If a good work gets done, yeah, no one will lose their reward over that, but at the same time each sin will also not be overlooked, and all of us have fallen short, and we are steeped in it, and we are quite comfortable in our current normal state of our fallen nature. It isn't until God comes into play that the normal state is seen for how bad it is, I'm not over-analyzing this, I'm pointing out the seriousness of our condition.
@rajk999 saidNever denied we should be doing good works, but I have denied that we trust our works to make us righteous before God over the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. If we are putting our faith in our own efforts, we are not trusting in Christ who takes away the sins of the world which is what you preach.
Rubbish remains rubbish regardless of how many times you try to convince people otherwise.
Your rubbish doctrine was not preached by Christ. Jesus tole people to and do good works and they will be rewarded in this life and in the next, and also have treasure in heaven.
You tell people they cannot do anything good and they are filthy sinners.
You are a loser, and a false teacher. Take your stupid church doctrine and go stick it you know where.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidOur righteousness is as filthy rags, our good works are good works.
Which you believe renders all good acts as nothing better than dirty rags?
'Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.' 1 Timothy 6:18
'But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great" Luke 6:35
@rajk999 saidI'm telling them that Christ not our human efforts makes us righteous, you lie.
If people do not realise how evil some of these Christian churches have become they are blind. Jesus says one thing, and these Satanic Christians promote another. They are drawing people to damnation. Here again it says:
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. (Matthew 16:2 ...[text shortened]... good, and good evil .. (Isaiah 5:20 KJV). Those who know better keep away from these churches
@rajk999 saidShow me one place in scripture where Jesus said people were not in need of salvation because they were good in their own right. If we were good on our own did Jesus have to come and die for us?
There are some rather stupid Christians who post on social media this passage, and their purpose is to claim that God is with them and nobody can harm them : No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper .. (Isaiah 54:17 KJV) .. The context of this statement is completely ignored by these idiots. This is a statement God is making about the Jews and their ene ...[text shortened]... are a professed Christian and you are posting stuff contrary to Jesus Christ then you are of Satan.
@kellyjay saidWhy are you ignoring Isaiah 65:1-7 that describes the false righteousness of the people, which helps clarify when 'righteous deeds' are like filthy rags. God is clearly angry at the pseudo-righteous deeds of religious hypocrites. He is not telling His people that righteous living is impossible or beyond them.
Our righteousness is as filthy rags, our good works are good works.
Why are you taking 'filthy rags' out of context and misapplying?
@kellyjay saidCan you link to where he has called you a sociopath or mentally ill?
I don't make them to anyone else, because of the things he says and why he stated why he says them. I have not once seen you jump on him for such things and he can become very vile in this verbiage. Edit: As a Christian you really should self-regulate what you post.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidOh ...thanks .. I will add that to my list of insults. He also hates it when I call him a pastor. That is an insult.
Can you link to where he has called you a sociopath or mentally ill?
Edit: As a Christian you really should self-regulate what you post.
@kellyjay saidJesus Christ never once told anyone that He makes them righteous.
I'm telling them that Christ not our human efforts makes us righteous, you lie.
Jesus never once used the expression 'human effort'.
All your language is contrary to the bible.
You have changed the words to suit your false doctrine.
@kellyjay saidWhat a stupid question. Jesus knew that he was going to die for the sins of the whole world. All that is required now is for people to live righteously and do good works. That is all Jesus preached.
Show me one place in scripture where Jesus said people were not in need of salvation because they were good in their own right. If we were good on our own did Jesus have to come and die for us?
The Grace of God sent the FREE GIFT of justification upon ALL men, as Paul stated. Here it is again ... ALL MEN ... FREE GIFT.
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. (Romans 5:18 KJV)
I know you hate that passage ... LOL .. thats why I keep posting.
@suzianne saidIt wouldn't be the first time the Jews ignored one of their own prophets.
Game software developers often respond to users calling certain aspects of a game "buggy", by merely saying "Working as intended".
I think this applies here.
The Jews, over history, have continually taken their scripture, the supposed "Word of God", and mis-interpreted it. They have made many theological mistakes over the period of the Old Testament, and they've been ...[text shortened]... in Revelation, where it is revealed that the Jews will eventually have their "come to Jesus" moment.
๐
If the Jews ever manage to learn to forgive and live at peace with their neighbours, maybe one could say that they have finally had their "come to Jesus" moment. But I daresay, they won't be learning it from the likes of KellyJay's sort of Christianity.

@kellyjay saidHey, dont bother about being nice to me at all. I know why you are so abusive, and I fully understand. I am attacking your precious Christian doctrine which you thought was perfect. The truth is it is far from Christ.
