Two of the issues was money related scandals and women, so the team agreed to have an independent group oversee their financial dealings and Billy agreed to a pay cut that was equivalent to most pastors. Then they agreed never to be alone in a room with a woman that was not their wife.
The proof is in the pudding, it works. They gave the term TV evangelist much needed credibility as he then counseled world leaders around the world and prayed with them.
He was also active in the Civil Rights movement as he allied with MLK and was a key figure in helping to bring down the iron curtain as he travelled there and spoke as well.
