@caesar-salad saidFive TD so far! Hahahah. Such characters whose company we are so lucky to enjoy.
I was thinking along those lines the other day, but maybe I was going too far. Sorry about that!
As the fortune cookie says: "🙂 Who has not tasted the bitter cannot understand the sweet. 🙂"
People should be allowed to post silly things. I also understand that people wish to be witty and they go too far -- a user here recently used very foul language about me in response to a post, but I will not name who it is or where it was because that'd be petty.
We're all free to do and say what we want, and no one should be mocked or shamed over it, or have it held over their head.
I think Christians are called to be forgiving... And while others are not, that is fine, too. It makes things interesting. ^^
@philokalia saidYou have admitted in public to being an alcoholic ~ and are perhaps now a recovering alcoholic. If you are, good luck to you. I am not an alcoholic. There are alcoholics and recovering alcoholics on these forums. I don't think "silly" jokes should be made about diseases that some real people here actually have, especially when they are aimed at individuals.

Apparently, caesar salad thought, on reflection, something similar, but he decided not to come out and say so, but instead chose to delete his post 24 hours later in a rather furtive way and then to dissemble. There's "silly" and there's "silly". You supported a poster who made hundreds and hundreds of "silly jokes" about paedophilia here for months. So the kind of creepy "silly" you endorse is no secret.
@fmf saidMay the record show that the poster in question was challenging the norms around here -- at the time, and even now to a lesser degree, the forum was suffocating from abrasive, needling, and pestering posts in very high volume. He engaged rude, below-the-belt posting with his own rude, below-the-belt posting.

Was it right for a Christian to do? No, probably not.
Did it go too far sometimes? Sure.
... And now, here you are, bringing up faults of mine into this thread, ins pite of me not talking about them at all, presumably because you want to score some hit against me... yet, simultaneously complaining about people who have done the same for you.
This isn't he sort of precedent that anyone should go for, IMO.
@philokalia saidYou are misrepresenting the contributions to this community made by the four or five members that Romansd1009 trolled for most of 2018.

@philokalia saidI was just responding to the content of your post.

@philokalia saidEarlier on this page, you said: "We're all free to do and say what we want, and no one should be mocked or shamed over it, or have it held over their head". To whom does this apply? Just you and posters you approve of? Or is it a general principle that you think applies to everyone?

@philokalia saidAnd you declared him the best poster on the forum. Who are you going to declare the best poster on the forum next? Eladar?
He engaged rude, below-the-belt posting with his own rude, below-the-belt posting.
@fmf saidElader is a great new poster, so is Caesar Salad.
And you declared him the best poster on the forum. Who are you going to declare the best poster on the forum next? Eladar?
They have both made me more active here.
Great guys. I do not think of anything they've said that might be bad. This forum needs less drama and "back in the year 2018" / "back in 2011" type posts. We need more positivity.
I'm sure they have said bad things here or there, they're just humans, but certainly they've added life to our forum.
God bless.
@philokalia saidJust to clarify, you support the series of posts made by Elader in the GF over the last couple of days (removed by the mods) where he called a female poster a 'bitch' and a 'whore?'

A great guy you say? Nothing bad that he has said?!
(And if you didn't read those comments or others like it, do you still think he is a great guy? - In the Site Ideas forum he is now claiming he posted those vile comments as an experiment).
