@ghost-of-a-duke saidOh, well, you don't say?!
Just to clarify, you support the series of posts made by Elader in the GF over the last couple of days (removed by the mods) where he called a female poster a 'bitch' and a 'whore?'
A great guy you say? Nothing bad that he has said?!
(And if you didn't read those comments or others like it, do you still think he is a great guy? - In the Site Ideas forum he is now claiming he posted those vile comments as an experiment).
Elader is being rude somewhere else on these forums..?
I received zero benefit nor did the Forum become a remotely better place when I tried to get involved in the Sonship drama with you two-three months ago. I thought, maybe, I could make two people see the perspectives of one another... He was willing to give a half-apology; you didn't accept it.
Now, am I supposed to go & involve myself with Elader and another poster, fully take in what they have done to one another, and have a similar lame experience...
Or maybe I am supposed to start disliking a guy who posts reasonable content in a place that can become a petty echo chamber of counter accusations and drama....
I was told to eff off in very blunt terms and the comment was upvoted 3+ times by users of this subforum, people I can probably guess as to who. I do not care. I will not name the person. I forgave them. I mention this only to say petty bickering is what you sign up for by posting here. Just get over it and be an adult.
It's the children here who are always dredging up past conflicts & trying to guilt trip everyone for every little thing that ever was said here. It's so ridiculous. Don't be a part of it.
Don't you have enough drama & things to do in your real life? Aren't you here to discuss spirituality?
@philokalia saidPeople should be able to take responsibility for what they post, regardless of when they posted it, and even if what they posted in the past is inconvenient to them today.

If they were children [13-15 years old] when they posted it, and therefore don't want to be held accountable or don't want their views scrutinized or they don't want current views placed in the context of views expressed in the past, then they should explain that they were children when they posted it.
If their views have evolved or shifted, or someone changed their mind in the meantime, then that can be explained too.
The "adult" way is to stand by what one says and how one behaves and to expect the same from others.

"Very blunt terms"? What did they say? Was the post removed by the mods?
@fmf saidResponsibility FOR WHAT? For a few insults on an internet forum? Um, I guess they can be kicked off for insulting people repeatedly, right..?

What am I supposed to do about someone who said something rude or was involved in a rude exchange..?
I just saw Sonship, Rajk, and Divegeester posting rude things.
I just don't care, lol.
@FMF, are you going to be the Forum hero we need and hold all these folks accountable?
@fmf saidIt was removed by the poster, I think. They wrote the eff word with a 'v' in it.

Would you shame the person who said this to me and keep tabs on them if I told you who did it?
Or does that not interest you?
@philokalia saidIf it was removed by the poster, then that's good. But I am not inclined to believe you. When I removed a couple of posts where I had duplicated messages to sonship, you announced that you had seen them and that they'd been full of unhinged abuse. You were willing to lie outright in an attempt to score a cheap point. This is not something I have ever done here.

Responsibility FOR WHAT?
@philokalia saidRomans1009 was. Eladar seems determined to bring the same fate upon himself.
Um, I guess they can be kicked off for insulting people repeatedly, right..?
@philokalia saidYou "just don't care"? On the contrary, you seem obsessed. A very high proportion of your posts involve you lecturing other people about their style of posting.

@fmf saidlol, it was up for... half a day or so. I am sure there are plenty of witnesses as to what the message was. my only goal was to see if the great Forum Judge, Jury, & Executioner would be willing to harass a poster about some momentary rudeness done to one of his perennial enemies.

Also, I suggested that your double post was one that contained abuse, and I did not do it seriously but in an attempt to prove a point about accusations & speculations.
But I see I have made a critical error by engaging in a topic that involves forum behavior in a forum plagued by people trying to lord baloney over one another.
@philokalia saidThe point you "proved" is that you cannot be trusted to post truthfully.

@philokalia saidI can't ever recall making much of an issue of anyone's "momentary rudeness".

@philokalia saidHundreds and hundreds of your posts are about forum behaviour, and at times, this is at the expense of all else.
