All this is fluff and nebulas. Here is the point. Homosexuality was condemned in the bible thousands of years ago by God. Mankind only just discovering DNA technology cannot possibly change the laws of God, with the claim that they are "born this way". There must be a point when not everything one reads in the Bible can be true, despite the desire to push aside all reason and human nature, and just declare it a sin. (And how easy it is, for a heterosexual, to do so with regards to being gay)
But to be fair, the comments are from species that are pretty much at our level at this moment in time, and what could they know?
Others still extant are either occupied with transcendence issues, or have gotten through those but pity us too much to make jokes, which I take as a hint to go slow in my own evolutionary journey.
