Couldn't care less.

All I care about is giving my account of the truth as I see it

I actually have real life experience to help people with their spirituality, beyond the abstract.
You think I'm trying to compare appendage sizes

It's not about being ...[text shortened]... 't matter how many agree with you.

A Zen master would see the truth in my words in an instant
No, a Zen Master would see the holes.

No, a Zen master would realize the holes in themselves were an illusion. (Along with everything else).

'As a great Zen Master once said, "Faith is like painting the walls of your room with mud, then trying to convince yourself that it is beautiful, and it smells good". Faith is an illusion, a dream that we strongly consider real, but that in reality only impoverishes the true spirituality of man. The strength of our faith and conviction has nothing to do with the fact that a belief is true or not. The veracity of our faith is in us only, nowhere else.

Religions feel compelled to give answers to everything as a sign of their "great wisdom", but for Zen, not giving any answer at all is actually the great wisdom.

A true religion shows man how to think and not what to think, therefore, we must learn to ask great questions rather than looking for great answers.'

Guess that contradicts your earlier statement about the master seeing the holes then, huh.

Barbs aside, there is something resonant in the thinking outlined by the quote.
Maybe a necessary shift from 'faith in' to 'faith of.'
I could be wrong, though.

'The master would see the holes',...for what they were. An illusion. 🙂

Yes, the quote is an interesting one. (But not to those insecure people who thumb down any post not relating to Christianity).

If one finds all their meaning in their dual-directional thumbs, they're generally ruled by small things.

Yes you do. That's what you should have said. Really.

You should have said, "don't mistake meekness for weakness", not, "kindness for meekness". That's just wrong!

Nobody says it that way.

Besides, it's as if you're saying you're kind or something. You don't sound kind. For that matter you don't sound meek either.

I think you should rethink this thread and start a new one.
Stop telling me what you think I mean, Mr cherry picker

Really? In an instant? You mean without a moments pause? Not even a half second?[/b]
It's a figure of speech

But for a Zen master , yes. Only one moment . No time

I'm a neutral observer.

(Yes I know, only a schmuck would take that as a serious statement, someone void of all humor and wit).

Misleading the forum is not witty.
