When I first saw it (your avatar), I thought it was McCloud (remember him?) I think the actor’s name was Dennis Weaver; he was in (I think) Steven Spielberg’s first movie “Duel,” which was a very good movie.

I don’t think “Nightstalker” was part of that series (could be wrong.) I think it was just Columbo, McCloud and McMillan and Wife.
