There is a bit of stink here about whether a priest should forgo the confidentiality of the confession box.
Some priests have rightly pointed out that the people would cease to confess if their confidentiality was not insured.
Others have said that if a child was to 'confess' that he/she had been interfered with then that is not really a confession of their sins but a report on someone elses and therefor should not be held to the confidentiality clause.
This is following from the huge scandal going through the courts about peadophile priests in our country.
Thoughts?

It is easier to keep your hands off of the kids if you have some release at home.
