Evoltution is a fact if the following three statements occur:
1. there is unit which is passed on to others (replicates)
2. this replicator is subject to change (mutation)
3. There is selection pressure which favours certain mutations (evolution)
Whether or not this accounts for the diversity of life is irrelevant. Evolution (in a loose way) is a fact.

According to what i have heard, is that God started creating life on earth about 6000 years ago. During that time, animals was created as well. I dont believe God has created anything that lived on planets before that time.
