You're closer to the truth than you think. The gospel preached by Jesus during His ministry does not fit the gospel of Paul.

Sounds like projection to me, amigo. You don’t believe Jesus when He said He came down from heaven, identified Himself as God, talked about the miracles He performed, and on and on.
You believe Jesus was only a man but somehow think He had the authority and knowledge to speak on how one gains salvation.
You totally miss why Jesus came to earth.
