Of course, I must point out your question makes no sense; that I had no control over my beginning does not imply I'll have no control over my end. In fact, to a certain extent I have control over my end - I could kill myself right now - whereas I had zero control over the beginning.
Control is an illusion.

Vacuous one-liner is meaningless.

Meaninglessness is also an illusion, as is a vacuum. Space is not empty.

The only thing there not an illusion is the one-liner. 😵

I could swear I'm talking to a child. Or worse a teenager. Run along now and find your mommy.

Are you mocking my beliefs, Joseph??

Children believe in childish things.
Sky gods.
Talking snakes.
You know the sort of thing.

What beliefs?

The only belief I hear from you is you don't believe in God and you think Christians are idiots.

You would be wrong on both counts.

Compared to God we are children. Besides, if you want to know God you'll have to become as a child. i.e. Trusting, believing and full of faith.

Apparently you think you're way too sophisticated for that. To your loss.

The end or a gateway to another adventure?
For those without hope it is the end.

Memories.

Are they not what makes me me? In a completion sort of way. Or is it that part of me that has memories?

Or is it experiences or the having of experiences that become memories from which I derive a sense of self?

Which if any of these things will go away, or persist, upon the end of my mortal life?

Where do I turn for answers?

As a drop of water returns to the sea...

We are going to die, and no one knows what happens next. Best to focus on here now.

Simple answer -- yes.
I have not lost anything apart from a superstitious hope of cheating death.

I like how you use the word "hope" instead of "belief".

Most theists insist on using the words "belief" and "believe", when indeed what they really mean is "hope".

My belief in winged pink unicorns having gone to "the end".

And no, I could not be wrong about not believing in god. I am absolutely certain that I don't believe in god(s).

Actually, with regards to their religious beliefs, I think all theists are idiots. Not just Christians.
