Well, what I said was 'it makes no theological difference.'

What I mean is, in terms of Jesus's teachings or those Scriptures
which were directly inspired by Him (i.e., the canonized NT),
Jesus's being married does not impact them ...[text shortened]... married
doesn't change the impact of that statement.

From a personal point of view, would you feel betrayed or cheated on if Christ had an intimate relationship or marriage?

[b]No, just like the other Gospels, it was written pseudonomynously.

My point, Darfius, is that Dan Brown has nothing to do with the
debate. The debate started long, long ago.

I assume that you are referring to this text:

Ephesians 5:23a -- For the husband is the head of the wife,
as Christ also is the head of the church...

It is making an analogy, not making a direct statement. That
Christ is 'married' to the church is a much later notion than
Scripture tells us. Indeed, it doesn't say anything but that
Christ rules over the Church (a logical theological stance)

As such, His having a wife wouldn't change that one iota.

Did you have another passage in mind?

This sounds like the Madonna-whore debate.

If you think not, then you don't know what True Love is.

Is it disrespectful to you to think of a woman in a sexual way?

From a Biblical standpoint, yes:

St Matthew 5:27-28

[Jesus said,] 'You have heard that it was said, "You shall not commit adultery."
But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed
adultery with her in his heart.'
