Welcome Daisy,

If you are intending on residing in the Spirituality forum, I would advise you to grow a fairly thick skin. Try not to take anything personally and always strive to be civil, hard though that may be. The topics discussed are pretty close to people hearts and the impersonal nature of the internet means name calling nastiness is not uncommon!

It can be quite fun just to watch people talking past each other.

Occultism? I suppose you could loosely define it as that. Perhaps my definition of that word is lagging.
Like I was trying to infer, Walt Disney was an eccentric, weird guy. (good weird). But I'm not sure, I just heard it from a second hand scource. I also heard he wanted his brain frozen in the hope that one day in the future they may be able to revive with (possible) future technology.

I would say that's very good, but most people are egocentric and slightly narcissistic, so anything you could say that compliments them and their idea of themselves will usually be well-regarded. For example, I have many other good traits that you did not touch on here, so it could be that I could agree with the bits meant for another. I think most people would agree with almost any of the pages in your book if they thought it was directed at them.

And what I meant by occultism was the astrology. The Bible specifically warns against dabbling in occultism, because it violates the first commandment to hold no other gods above God. (By the way, this is why greed is bad, as well.)

So I agree with your OP that it is not serious and only a bit of fun, unless you get carried away with it, as some people do with astrology or tarot or numerology.

Can you explain to me how practicing astrology (which I dont) equates with holding "other gods above God"? What other god would astrologers be worshipping?

Themselves, basically. Not to mention all the panoply of minor gods throughout history who have been associated with divination and clairvoyance.

It finds existence in most people with their holding themselves above God. By extension, the idea that you can control (or even divine) your own future (becoming the little g god) independent of the wishes of God would be considered by most Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam) as a "bad thing".
