It seems childish to imply that the bible holds a belief that the world is flat. Perhaps the wrong word used on my part, but it seems many here pick on silly topics to discredit the bible.

Are you going to answer the question or are you just going to keep trying to avoid it? And by the way, I wasn't trying to discredit the Bible, I was asking you about how you would handle a difference between what the Bible says, and what scientists say, or what your personally observe in the world.

    I already answered that..

If anything "proven" by science contradicts the bible, then man's interpretation of his study is wrong.

What if it is not proven by science, but you personally believe it is true?

I will always believe the bible. Even if my 5 senses do not agree.
If I am sick, I will strive to believe I am healed by His stripes, even if I do not see it in the senses realm.
    That is how faith works.
    Matt 17:19-21
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?"

20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."

Still no opinion about the heliocentric theory, or did I miss it?

I expect nothing less than such forthrightness from you. In the vein of this thread, sincerity and forthrightness go together in helping avoid ambiguity that can shield the truth.
I don't know what you mean.

    Now, ask yourself this.

How do you feel about Dasa's approach to posting and his general attitude to spiritual matters?

    Then answer this.

Who is most responsible for this view of Dasa? You or him?

Now if, like me, your answers are:

1 A lot ...[text shortened]... ault.

then I think you need to consider seriously whether this is a path you want to go down.
You just can't help yourself can you?

You need to deride someone, anyone, that you don't agree with.

Don't discuss the topic. It's an act of denial to attack the person, to put them on the defense, to avoid the discussion about the topic.

Perhaps I have misinterpreted something you said once and offended you with my reply?

I don't remember your doing anything that would offend me. Things are fine.

edit: It's just that this thread seem to have run out of steam.

    Why childish?
There is a very clear implication that the earth is flat - reflecting the
belief of the people that wrote it - in the bible.

You may not agree with the conclusion but any thinking person
    would see that implication!

    You were not being attacked.
You were asked to examine yourself "objectively".
Something you are unwilling even to attempt.

Please try to refrain from obscuring the intent of the question. The meaning of truth being as it relates to the context of this forum. Can you tell the difference between what is true about things spiritual, and what is a lie about things spiritual?

    If not, why?

    If so, how?
If i approach the question in prayer and openness to the Holy Spirit, i can feel the truth in a question.

One of the first things the Father told me i needed to learn was to recognize His peace in my heart. I know His peace.
