The thing is that divine intervention is not bound or restricted by anything, so we can never "exclude" it. We can merely conclude we don't need it to describe the world around us.

Alas, we are but humans, and we must choose to be content either with "inadequate" explanations or baseless assertions. In my opinion it is a worthy goal to seek to make our explanations ever more adequate, and I make my very small contribution towards this goal.
