In some instances the bible seems to accept the existence of false gods -
the very fact that Jehovah is a jealous god indicates something
to be jealous of. Is it plausible/probable that initially Jehovah was just
placing himself at the top of a pantheon?
The core of every religion is that you can not believe in something else also, not just a bit, for your religion is the only possible truth. You may question, you may find other answers, you may have to leave your community, your comfortzone, your whatever. No, stick with it. Since when you shouted that loud and that convinced on top of the hill, how can you possibly say 'sorry, I was wrong?'
So you have to stay on that train even if it is about to crash into another train. Jumping off is failure, and you can not fail, because you have the truth within you. It's in your heart because you believe you have a personal relationship with your god. Your god will get you through. And there you are, 6 feet under, cross on top, some psalms for comfort, was a nice RHP player perhaps. Where's is the love you all said your god was about. RJHinds, Sonhouse and the others? Nothing but fighters till the bitter end. Not a single religious spark.

Seeing non of that, we note there is no competition so it is a safe bet there are no gods doing ANYTHING on Earth, even if there are gods abounding in the universe, hands off here.
Maybe we are under deitiary quarantine. Hands off, all you lesser gods, and I will stay hands off too. You stick your deitary assses in here, you are in trouble.....

In reality there is only one God.

How do you know what happens after death? You don't. No one does. No human being that is.
But God knows.

I meant to say against all these religious mongers here on this site, that they show so little love and understanding for everybody who don't buy something in their shop. Only shouting, using big words that they know the truth, whatever that may be when it comes to religions. At the same time they preach about the omni love the bible has to offer. Collision.
Question: how can you tell god knows? When you can tell what god knows, you know it too don't you?
