Elitism!
Not so in Christianity. In God's eyes we're all equal, and even the most ignorant can attain to spiritual maturity.

How many gods are mentioned in the bible then?
OLD TESTAMENT:
Uranus (the Firmament in Genesis)
Baal
Chemosh
Dagon (Samson and the pillars)
Moloch ("Do not pass your children through the flames to Moloch" )
Ishtar (i.e. Lucifer)
Maat ("Wisdom" in Proverbs)
Nergal
NEW TESTMANENT:
Artemis (of Ephesus in Timothy)
Mars (i.e. War the Horseman in Revelation)
Jupiter (Acts)
Mercury (Acts)

yes we share the same "god-spark" or whatever, as we all have eyes and heads and similar brains, etc. however every single one of us is unique.
So should their path to "godhood" be unique, their own.

Apparently there are 8,000 gods mentioned in the bible.

Why don't you stop spreading lies?
Well, I am not sure where the 8000 figure comes from, pe ...[text shortened]... ttle between The Lord, and the Other Gods, after which God says the Israelites went "a-whoring".[/b]
