False, when a Christian dies, he/she go in the ground, only Jesus is in heaven for now.
Whilst in the ground, does 'he/she' feel/think or otherwise experience anything?
Originally posted by twhiteheadNo. Everyone dies and is buried. There are no thoughts, no conscience. When Christ returns, the dead in Christ will be raised first, then we which are alive will be caught up together with them. Read Thessalonians.

The unbeliever will not be raised until the Judgement.
Having said that, this is contrary to traditional Christian teaching. It is what I believe the bible states.

What is raised? Your body, or something else?

Care to flesh that out?
I know someone whose Baptist minister and the minister's son were killed in a car wreck. Do any of the following appeal to you?
1. The minister and his son could not have been TRUE Christians.
2. That WAS God's way of showing His love to those people.
3. God does not involve Himself in the manner and timing of death.
4. It was a test to see if ot ...[text shortened]... two persons would be resurrected. Nobody prayed, so they were not resurrected and remain dead.
#1 is not true because anyone can die in a car accident
#2 is preposterous because the bible says death is our enemy.
#3 He does but every case would be different. What you do not see, is the spiritual battle going on around us between demonic forces and angels from God. There are consequences to war, sometimes people die before their time. The choices we make are also to be considered. Maybe he was a negligent driver, I do not know, there are a lot of variables.
#4 Again, preposterous and a weak attempt to mock God.
There, this should give you enough ammo for your next attack on Christians.

Me and my body go together... doesn't yours?
Now suppose somebody goes insane a year before they die. They then loose all their memories, 6 months before they die. Then they are involved in a serious shooting, and half their brain is removed 2 months before they die.
Is this the same body that goes into the ground and is resurrected later?

Do you disagree with those who claim that?
