Yes, yes, I realize that...but you must do good works...

Whats do you think of this passage :

Romans 2 : 13 ..for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified:
14 (for when Gentiles that have not the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are the law unto themselves;
15 in t ...[text shortened]... bviously know nothing of Christ but still do by nature the things of the law, will be justified.
I'm agreeing with the fact that you need to do good works...it shows that you're obeying God's word...it's just that good works alone won't get you into heaven...good scripture...

Good Scripture ? I think that passage deserves a bit more attention than that.

Its saying the doers will be given salvation. Even Gentiles who 'DO' as opposed to just 'HEAR', will be given salvation.

Yes, but you must believe first, then act upon it...

Okay...let me elaborate...

1) Accept Jesus Christ as lord and savior of your life

2) Get baptized as an act of obedience toward him

3) Good works also show obedience, but good works shouldn't be used in place of step 1. They're just showing obedience to God and good works are well...what anybody should do...Christian or not...

Christ is clear on the fact that (1) and (2) are the first steps, but he apparently 'failed' to mention your point (3). Was that a mistake on His part?

Note - Im asking about Christ not Paul.

Can you define what you are calling 'believers'?
Apparently Vistesd is using a different definition as his (2) is 'believers who fail to do'. Are you suggesting that people who profess to believe in Christ (ie verbally) and fail to do good works still get salvation ?

Romans 2:13 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;

Religion is destructive!
This remains to be seen.

As a matter of fact the development of religion is an attempt to regulate and ban violence from human society in order to restore peace.

Who “gets saved”?
Those who have shown true remorse and asked the Lord for forgiveness.
